About This Role
Our client, a prominent FPSO operator with one of the largest floating asset portfolios in Asia, is seeking an experienced FPSO Operations Manager to oversee the safe, efficient, and compliant production operations of their offshore FPSO fleet. Based in Singapore and reporting directly to the COO, this senior role is responsible for production optimisation, maintenance strategy, and marine systems management across multiple assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall accountability for FPSO production operations including hydrocarbon processing, gas compression, and water injection systems
- Develop and execute annual production plans aligned with offtake agreements and reservoir management requirements
- Lead FPSO production optimisation initiatives targeting uptime improvements and production efficiency gains
- Manage marine systems including turret mooring, offloading operations, and ballasting procedures
- Oversee maintenance management using CMMS systems (e.g., SAP PM, Aveva, or similar)
- Ensure compliance with class society requirements, flag state regulations, and international maritime conventions (SOLAS, MARPOL)
- Manage FPSO OIM (Offshore Installation Manager) and offshore management team performance
- Interface with commercial teams, offtakers, and regulatory authorities for production-related matters
- Drive FPSO brownfield modifications and interface management with subsea production systems
Core Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of offshore oil & gas experience, with at least 6 years in FPSO or offshore production operations management
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum preferred)
- Proven track record as OIM or Production Superintendent on FPSO or offshore platform
- In-depth knowledge of FPSO topside process systems: separation, compression, water injection, and produced water treatment
- Strong understanding of marine systems including turret mooring, riser management, and offloading
- Experience with SAP PM or similar CMMS for maintenance planning and execution
- Demonstrated leadership of multi-disciplinary offshore teams including remote site management
- BOSIET/HUET and valid offshore medical required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with gas compression system operations and turbine-driven compressor maintenance
- Familiarity with FPSO lease and charter commercial frameworks
- Knowledge of dynamic positioning (DP) systems integration with FPSO operations
- Advanced degree or MBA for strategic management responsibilities
- Prior experience managing FPSO shutdowns, turnarounds, and campaign maintenance
