About This Role
IntelliS Global is retained by several offshore engineering companies in Singapore to source qualified Offshore Structural Engineers for a variety of project scopes — from fixed platform and FPSO topside structural design to subsea infrastructure analysis. These roles offer excellent variety across different project types, vessel classes, and international clients, with both permanent and contract options available.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design of offshore platforms, FPSO topside structures, and subsea infrastructure
- Use SACS, SESAM, or equivalent finite element software for structural modelling and analysis
- Conduct structural integrity assessments including fatigue analysis, ultimate limit state, and accidental load cases
- Prepare structural design reports, calculations, and technical specifications in accordance with codes (API RP 2A, DNV-OS-C201, AISC)
- Support structural assessment for offshore jacket platforms, mooring structures, and riser/clamp interfaces
- Interface with process, mechanical, and marine engineers to resolve structural loading from equipment and environmental loads
- Participate in structural inspections, NDT reviews, and fitness-for-service (FFS) assessments
- Provide construction support including drawing review, weighing calculations, and lifting analysis
- Contribute to risk-based structural integrity management plans for operating assets
Core Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience in offshore oil & gas or marine structures
- Proficiency with SACS, SESAM, ANSYS, or equivalent structural analysis software
- Strong knowledge of offshore structural codes: API RP 2A WSD/LRFD, DNV-OS-C201, NORSOK N-004
- Experience in fatigue analysis, dynamic response analysis, and foundationpile-soil interaction modelling
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering
- Familiarity with environmental load calculations (wind, wave, current, seismic)
- Experience with fixed platform or FPSO topside structural design preferred
- Strong technical report writing and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in FPSO turret and mooring structural analysis
- Familiarity with subsea template and PLET (Pipeline End Terminal) structural design
- Knowledge of structural integrity management (SIM) frameworks for aging assets
- Experience with jacket platform or TLP (Tension Leg Platform) structural engineering
- Advanced degree in Structural Engineering or offshore/marine structural specialization
