Subsea Structure Engineer

About This Role

We are looking for a Subsea Structure Engineer to join our Kuala Lumpur office. In this role, you will be responsible for the structural design and analysis of subsea equipment including manifolds, PLETs, PLEMs, and jumpers for deepwater field developments.

You will work closely with the subsea design team to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective structural solutions that meet project specifications and international codes. This position offers excellent opportunities to develop expertise in deepwater subsea structures across various geographical regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of subsea structures (manifold, PLET, PLEM, jumper)
• Conduct global and local structural analysis using SACS software
• Execute fatigue analysis for structural components under environmental loads
• Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for complex structural details
• Prepare structural specifications, design reports, and technical documents
• Interface with fabrication yards on constructability and quality requirements
• Support installation analysis and seafloor landing operations
• Review vendor documentation and witness manufacturing inspections

Core Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in subsea structure engineering
• Proficiency in SACS for structural analysis and design
• Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, or equivalent)
• Knowledge of DNV-RP-C203, API 2A-WSD, and AISC specifications
• Understanding of fatigue analysis methodologies and acceptance criteria
• Experience with subsea foundation and mooring interface design
• Strong technical writing and communication skills
