Hull Naval Architect

Role Overview

This is an strategic position based in Oslo / Singapore, working with Leading FPSO Operator. The role requires expertise in FPSO Hull Design, Conversion Assessment, Newbuild Assessment, Class Society Interface, Structural Analysis, Stability Analysis. Key Responsibilities

• Perform naval architecture and hull structural design for FPSO and offshore units
• Conduct stability analysis, motion response and seakeeping assessments
• Develop hull structural design including midship section and fatigue analysis
• Coordinate with classification society for design approval
• Review and approve hull fabrication drawings and specifications
• Support mooring and riser interface engineering
• Perform hull integrity assessments and inspection planning
• Liaise with marine operations for towing, installation and hook-up

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Architecture or Ocean Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of naval architecture experience in FPSO/offshore projects
• Proficiency in naval architecture software (NAPA, MAXSURF or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of classification society rules (DNV, ABS, LR)
• Experience with FPSO hull conversion or newbuild projects
• Excellent analytical and technical writing skills
