Senior Subsea Engineer I

Role Overview

This is an urgent position based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, working with Independent Energy Company. The role requires expertise in Orcaflex, OFFPIPE, Mathcad, Autocad, SACS, MOSES. Full job description is available upon request.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, analyze and manage subsea systems and components for offshore projects
• Perform engineering calculations and analyses per relevant industry standards
• Coordinate with pipeline, installation, and operations teams
• Prepare technical specifications, design reports and installation procedures
• Review vendor documentation and participate in FAT/SIT activities
• Support installation and commissioning of subsea equipment
• Ensure compliance with DNV, API and client-specific standards
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing
• Perform dynamic installation analysis using Orcaflex for offshore lifting and installation operations
• Perform structural analysis using SACS for offshore platform and subsea structure design

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Structural, or Ocean Engineering preferred)
• Minimum 10 years of subsea engineering experience
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and analysis tools
• Strong understanding of DNV-ST-F101, API RP 1111 and related standards
• Experience with subsea installation and commissioning operations
• Excellent technical writing and presentation skills
• Certification: BOSIET, Bachelors Degree in Engineering
• Available for immediate mobilization
